Not All is Clearly Defined Therefore We See Through a Glass Dimly

A Grace Guy

Yes. I’m one of those “Grace” guys. I’m saddened that the idea of grace has become scandalous among some religious folk. One of God’s most beautiful, life-giving and hope-filled gifts has been reduced to a theological discussion on whether it has been “taken too far.”

I have barely scratched the surface of how far grace really goes. Theologians, pastors and religious bloggers can argue all day long, as for me, I’ll both receive and give all of the grace of God I can get. #GraceWell

For God saved us and called us… to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ NLT

Common-Unity

Sunday. Many will gather to worship God and experience community. Community will not happen unless you are purposeful and intentional. Take the initiative and reach out to those who you are sitting close to in the service.

Odd how you can sit next to someone among hundreds or thousands and never acknowledge their value or, much less, their existence. Cross the boundary and meet the people you are worshipping with. Community is “common-unity.” #LoveWell #ConnectWell

What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together… Everything must be done so that the church may be built up. ‭1 Cor‬ ‭14‬:‭26‬ NIV

You Are Amazing

You must be amazing or Jesus would not have left paradise, slipped into an earth suit and submitted himself to the darkest underpinnings of humanity through torture and crucifixion.

Yes you. That’s right. You’re thinking, “It’s probably for “some” people. I’m a stinkin’ mess. I mentally killed 11 people on my commute this week. I already dropped the ball on my New Year’s Resolutions. I turned the channel when that commercial for starving children came on. No way. Not me.”

Yes you. With all your junk and your mangled tangled mess of a life. Your fears. Your failures. Your broken promises. Your judgments of others. Your unfulfilled dreams. Your lack of discipline. Yes you.

And I repeat…

You must be amazing or Jesus would not have left paradise, slipped into an earth suit and submitted himself to the darkest underpinnings of humanity through torture and crucifixion. #LoveWell #HopeWell #OnceForAll

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son… God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John‬ ‭3‬:‭16-17‬ NIV
